DOS PERELLONS
In 1882, in a small village called Llubí situated in the heart of Majorca, a carpenter named Jorge Perelló Perelló decided to change his profession and opened a traditional distillery. After operating the distillery for several years, he handed it over to his sons, Jorge and Antonio Perelló Planas, who eventually went their separate ways. In 1919, Antonio, like many Majorcans at that time, emigrated to America and established the distillery in Mendoza, Argentina. However, in 1947, his second son Antonio Perelló Perelló reopened the distillery in the same premises founded by his grandfather in Llubí and expanded it as production gradually increased. In 1973, the distillery became a limited company with the name Dos Perellons (referring to the two surnames). In 1991, due to expansion, the distillery was transferred to new premises in the Son Castelló Industrial Estate in Palma de Mallorca. Today, more than 120 years after its foundation, the firm continues to be a family business run by the fourth generation and where the fifth generation is already learning the trade to carry on the old family tradition.
